1. To diagnose cause using DOPES
Dislodged tubes
Obstructed tubings
Pneumothorax
Equipment issues
Stacking (dynamic hyperinflation)
2. To treat using DOTTS
Disconnect
Oxygen – make it 100% or FiO2 1.0
Tubings checked/repositioned
Tweak ventilator
Sonogram lungs
